Footwear Training Unit

Sri Aurobindo Society Pondicherry facilitated to set up a training centre in Pondicherry Prison with THE CENTRAL FOOTWEAR TRAINING INSTITUTE, CHENNAI a Premier Institute of its kind in the country, the inmates will be trained in Advanced Footwear TechnologyCourse and Practical oriented need based short - term courses as reformation and rehabilitation initiative of Auro Model Prison.

Twenty machines are set up in the Pondicherry Central Prison. The facility was inaugurated by Embalam Selvam Speaker of Pondicherry Legislative assembly.
